Birds: We get many different birds throughout the seasons at the Pond. We see Red-wing Blackbirds, Belted Kingfishers, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Woodpeckers, Purple Martins, Robins, Blue Birds, Finches, Double-crested Cormorants, Great Blue Herons, Canada Goose, Mallards, Turkey Vultures, Red-tailed Hawks, Eagles, Killdeer, Hummingbirds, just to name a few!

Wildlife: We see a good variety of wildlife at the Lodge. We often have white tailed deer, raccoons, opossum, and other animals that you would expect to see near an old established pond and woods.

Fishing: The 4.6 acre pond is stocked with bass, bluegill, crappie, and a few catfish. Record bass such as the one pictured have been caught at the pond.

   

Exercise: Regardless of the weather, you can stay in shape while visiting with us at the lodge. You are welcome to enjoy the following in the guest area:

  • treadmill
  • exercise bike

For the outside enthusiast you may enjoy:

  • Walks around the pond
  • Bike & Walkway travels between Auburn & Waterloo is located on the edge of the property
